Connecting Object-Oriented Middleware for Home Computing with Virtual Overlay Networks

The paper proposes an approach to solve the situation. In our approach, we have developed a middleware component to connect several middleware implementing these object-oriented standard speci cations for home computing. Actually, our middleware component makes it possible to connect home appliances adopting HAVi, Jini, or UPnP. Therefore, various home appliances can comm unicate with each other.
